Today, December 9, a major and tragic car accident took place in Shirak region.
Around 11:20 am, on the Gyumri-Haykavan highway, in the administrative area of Haykavan village, "Audi", truck "ГАЗель" and the bus serving Voghji-Meghrashat-Byurak villages collided.
As from the scenereportsphotojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, 1 person died on the spot, 3 people were taken to the Gyumri Medical Center with various degrees of physical injuries.
Citizens were the first to help the injured, and according to the residents of Kaka, who had gathered at the scene, the on-duty groups of Gyumri emergency doctors and the firefighters of Gyumri No. 2 fire-rescue squad of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs' rescue service acted promptly.
Doctors provided first aid to the injured before taking them to the hospital.
Rescuers took out the body of the deceased from the Audi using special equipment.
