Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that his country appreciates the constructive approaches of Russia and Iran to the issues related to the settlement of Syria. He said this at a press conference held in Doha, TASS reports.
"Yesterday was an important day for the future of Syria. The countries of the Astana format - Turkey, Russia, Iran - gathered to discuss the latest events.
We appreciate the constructive approaches of Russia and Iran. The UN special representative for Syria was also with us. He also made a huge contribution. Then we established relations with Arab countries: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Egypt and Jordan.
We are also grateful to these brotherly countries for their constructive approaches. We are also holding discussions with the Americans.
We will continue to cooperate with regional and international actors on the issue of Syria," he said.
