Iran has successfully launched the Fakhr-1 satellite into orbit

The Iranian army successfully launched the Fakhr-1 satellite into orbit using the domestically manufactured Simorgh carrier rocket.

This is reported by Tasnim agency. Shortly after entering orbit, "Fakhr-1" sent a signal to Earth.

The satellite, which weighs less than 10 kg, was developed and built as a result of a collaboration between the Iranian Army, SA Iranian Company and Malek Ashtar University of Technology. The main subsystems, including the central computer, power management system, radio communication and flight dynamics modules, were developed in Iran itself and were put into operation for the first time.
