The State Duma urged not to rely on Trump on the issue of settlement in Ukraine

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Alexei Zhuravlev (Rodina Party) urged not to rely on the winner of the presidential election

ah in the United States, Donald Trump on the issue of resolving the Ukrainian conflict, according to him, any US leadership will try to harm the Russian Federation. Earlier, Reuters, citing sources, reported that Trump has three plans for resolving the conflict in Ukraine. They were nominated by future US Vice President J.D. Vance, former director of national intelligence Richard Grenell, and Keith Kellogg, nominated for the post of special envoy to Ukraine.

“In general, I would completely stop relying on Trump, who will supposedly come and restore order, reconciling everyone from the height of his own position. Do not forget that any leadership of the United States - a country that considers itself our geopolitical enemy - will one way or another try to harm Russia , and Trump is no exception here,” Zhuravlev told RIA Novosti.

According to him, not all theses about the situation in Ukraine put forward by the Trump team are acceptable to the Russian Federation.

“So far we see only the desire of the new team for dialogue, but its intentions are known to us in fragments, as a set of theses, some of which are quite reasonable, but others are unacceptable for Russia,” the deputy believes.
