The USA called on Ukraine to reduce the age of conscription

US urges Ukraine to raise conscription age from 25 to 18 due to shortage of servicemen in Ukraine's Armed Forces, reportsReuterswith reference to a White House source.

"Ukrainian officials should consider lowering the military conscription age to 18 years. Ukraine is not mobilizing and training enough new soldiers," the agency said in a statement, citing a senior US administration official.

In April, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law by which the age of mobilization in Ukraine was reduced from 27 to 25.
