Vessel transit in the Bosphorus is suspended due to fishing longboats

Shipping in the Bosphorus Strait is suspended due to fishing boats. This was reported by the Department of Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Transport of Turkey. Vessel traffic in the strait has been suspended in both directions due to the nets of fishing boats becoming tangled near the Anadolu Kavagi area.

The consequences of the incident have not been reported. Istanbul on Saturday was in the grip of rain and hurricane, due to which ferry flights across the Bosphorus were canceled in the morning. Due to strong winds in the strait near the Beykoz area, a 190-meter dry cargo ship almost collided with the embankment, footage was shown by the TV channelNTV.
