The device is a chamber that fills with water when the user sits in it. Built-in sensors measure pulse and other biological parameters, providing a comfortable water temperature.
The manufacturer plans to test the device in April next year. It is expected that up to eight people will be able to use the 15-minute washing and drying service after booking in advance. How much such a washing machine will cost is not specified.
The idea of a "human washing machine" was first introduced at the 1970 World's Fair in Japan by Sanyo Electric Co., but the device was not a commercial success.
