Orban says conflict in Ukraine has reached its "darkest hour"

The whole world is currently experiencing the most disturbing period related to the Ukrainian conflict, but the hope of its solution remains with the upcoming inauguration of the newly elected US President Donald Trump. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed a similar opinion in his speechKosuton the morning program of the radio station.

"Now the "darkest hour" has come, but it's always dark before the dawn," said the head of the government, referring to the situation around Ukraine. He confirmed that he still connects his hopes of settling the conflict in the neighboring country with the upcoming return of Donald Trump to the White House, who expressed his willingness to seek a peaceful solution to this problem.

"From a military point of view, the situation is clear. if the United States leaves Ukraine, Europe will not be able to support it on its own," Orban said.

He emphasized that the expected change in the policy of the United States will inevitably affect the approach of Western Europe to the Ukrainian conflict.
