It was Turkey that refused to allow the Israeli president's plane to enter its airspace. Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan commented on Israel's President Yitzhak Herzog's ban on the plane passing through the country's airspace to participate in the COP-29 climate conference to be held in Azerbaijan.

"We did not allow him to use our airspace. there are other routes and options. We told him to leave there. But I don't know whether he left or not. Turkey has to show its attitude towards some things, and we will do it," he said at the press conference of the G20 conference.

Earlier, Azerbaijani diplomatic sources announced that the President of Israel did not go to COP29 in Baku, because Turkey banned him from using its airspace.

In turn, the Israeli side announced that Herzog's visit to Azerbaijan was canceled "due to security reasons", which offended Baku and decided to deny the said information.
