The world is tired of the Ukrainian conflict and is waiting for its solution. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, in a speechHindustan Timesat the leaders' summit organized by the newspaper.
"I think the world is exhausted in a way. That said, this conflict is taking a huge toll, obviously on both the main players and everyone else. This is the time when there is a global demand for a certain solution," he said, noting that yesterday German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time since the beginning of the conflict. Speaking about India's role in the settlement of the conflict, the foreign minister noted that New Delhi did not offer a peace plan.
