"The longer the term of office of these authorities is extended, the more difficult it will be to form an agenda based on Armenian interests in the future." "Fact"

"Fact" daily writes:

Today marks the fourth year since the war "ended" with the declaration of a cease-fire and cessation of hostilities.

A tripartite document was signed by the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia.

What happened before and after the signing of that document? everything started with the change of power in Armenia in 2018.

Also from the moment when Nikol Pashinyan announced from Stepanakert's Revival Square that Artsakh is Armenia and that's it.

Also from the moment when he said that he was starting the negotiations on the Artsakh issue from zero, from his point.

Davit Galstyan, head of Artsakh NA "Justice" faction, makes several more reminders.

"A man came to power, who during his political career has repeatedly referred to the liberated lands, stating that they are not ours, we want someone else's to leave ours."

After that, the man who came to power spoke the language of provocations, although it was not a quality provocation, but part of a plan to give the enemy a legitimate right to justify his military operations.

We saw that the world did not condemn the military aggression that was used in 2020. That man declared that he will not solve any issue regarding Artsakh behind the people's back, if there are any solutions, he should present them to the public.

We saw that the exact opposite was done. They presented a lie to the public. Artsakh surrendered under the slogan "we will win".

Today, those same people, the same political power say that they have no share of guilt, they don't want to admit their mistakes so that they can correct them later.

The policy that was followed after November 9, in particular that the whole of Artsakh was recognized as part of Azerbaijan, led to the current situation.

The authorities of the day, led by Nikol Pashinyan, are responsible for what happened. The fact is that they handed over Artsakh, recognizing it as part of Azerbaijan, and today they are once again trying to present the incident in a manipulative way, as if they are not to blame," with "Pasti". says Galstyan in the conversation.

At the end of the war with disastrous consequences, the tripartite declaration with its nine points was signed. It seems that there is no need to say how many of these points became reality, but even humanitarian point 8, that is, of prisoners of war, hostages and other detained persons. , as well as the exchange of bodies of the victims, remained unrealizable for the Armenian side.

Many people consider the November 9 document a capitulation, and many say that at least the opportunities provided by that document should have been taken advantage of.

"When the document of November 9 was signed, some called it capitulation, some called it a ceasefire regime, and others called it Russia's entry into Artsakh.

If we pay attention to the content of that document, there were certain points in it that were in some way in the interests of the Armenian side, for example, the Lachin Corridor had to work without interruption, the communications had to work, the security of Artsakh had to be ensured.

The responsible of that document in terms of all points was the Republic of Armenia represented by the Prime Minister, as it was tripartite, also the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

After November 9, there were violations regarding the points of the declaration, and the Republic of Armenia did not take ownership of the document it signed, by which it also did not take ownership of the fate of Artsakh Armenians.

The pro-Armenian clauses of that document were violated from time to time, and we had no claimant.

Until now, Azerbaijan is trying to implement the 9th point of the declaration with the language of coercion, and the authorities of the day avoid talking about other points, which gives reason to think that, yes, the authorities of the day agreed that the points of the declaration should not be implemented not with the implementation of the ninth point, which they also signed.

Only on that point, Azerbaijan was able to speak with Armenia in the language of blackmail, using violent force and military operations against Armenians, it was able to completely depopulate Artsakh and achieve its dream.

Before Nikol Pashinyan came to power, the leadership of Azerbaijan could not dream that it would host a parade in Stepanakert," the deputy added, emphasizing. "Azerbaijan did not fulfill any point of the document, and the Armenian side was not a claimant.

That's why today he can't avoid talking about the ninth point of the statement.

It is the handwriting of the defeated government." We should have realized much later that the signing of the tripartite declaration was not the worst thing that would happen to us.

Karvachar surrendered to the enemy, then Berdzor and Aghavno, then a group of alleged eco-activists closed the Lachin corridor, Artsakh remained under blockade for nine months, and on September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan launched another attack on the Republic of Artsakh.

After a few days, it was depopulated. After the 44-day war, people started to "heal" their wounds, little by little, there was no question of leaving.

"It probably could not have crossed the mind of any Armenian that when Artsakh was taken under blockade and then military operations began, the leader of the Republic of Armenia would consider it an internal affair of Azerbaijan.

That blow from behind caused the feeling among people that they are left alone against the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem and, staying in Artsakh, they will be killed, that's why they took the path of migration," says our interlocutor.

The fact that the current authorities of Armenia have abandoned Artsakh is more than clear.

Don't they lead us to the point of irreversibility with their anti-national statements and make it impossible to change anything in the future? The longer the term of office of these authorities, the more difficult it is to form an agenda based on Armenian interests.

I am sure that if these authorities were changed, many issues would be solved more easily, but the current government has injected the idea that "if we are not there, there will be a war", the current authorities are terrorizing the people.

In the background of this terrorism, it is very difficult to get the power to remove these authorities and to form an agenda based on Armenian interests. but not impossible.

It is possible to return to Artsakh if we have such a government that will pursue bringing the issue of Artsakh to the agenda on international platforms," concludes Davit Galstyan.
