The Strait of Hormuz will be closed until the United States fulfills the terms of the US-Iran memorandum. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of the Mejlis of Iran, announced this.
"The Strait of Hormuz will not be opened until the blockade is lifted from Iran, the frozen Iranian assets are not unfrozen, the oil embargo is not canceled, the threats and military operations are not stopped on all fronts, as well as other conditions of the memorandum are not fulfilled," he was quoted as saying by the Iranian Mehr news agency.
