KGMS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan received the representatives of the Armenian Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling teams that participated in the U17 World Championship held in Baku.
According to the Ministry of Sports and Sports, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan met today with the members of the freestyle and Greco-Roman youth wrestling teams of Armenia, who recently participated in the world under-17 championship held in Baku.
The Greco-Roman team of Armenia won one gold and two bronze medals at the U17 World Championship. Janes Nazaryan won the champion title, while Ararat Avetisyan (48 kg) and Gevorg Harutyunyan (51 kg) won bronze awards.
Addressing the athletes and coaches, Zhanna Andreasyan congratulated them and noted that the performance of the Armenian national team in this tournament was of particular importance.
"This was a very important participation. we all felt an indescribable sense of pride when the anthem of the Republic of Armenia was played and our tricolor was raised. Thank you for giving us and our state that pride," said the minister, adding that not only the medal winners, but also all the athletes who represented Armenia at the World Championship deserve high praise.
