The French ambassador was summoned to Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was announced by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghai, reports the Iranian Tasnim agency.
"France should apologize because they interfered in Iran's internal affairs under the guise of diplomacy. Yesterday, the French ambassador in Tehran was summoned to the Foreign Ministry. It was emphasized that the French government should stop the intervention," said the diplomat.
Earlier, two French diplomats were arrested in Iran.
