German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that European leaders and US President Donald Trump have reached a common position on the conflict in Ukraine.

According to him, all G7 leaders agreed on the need to increase support to Ukraine and pressure Russia to pave the way for negotiations.
When asked whether Trump promised to support sanctions against Moscow and ensure a place for Europe at the negotiating table, he said that it was never in doubt.
