US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will probably participate in the reconstruction of Iranian infrastructure destroyed by the conflict.
"One has to build all that infrastructure, new bridges, new factories. You know, they are talking about a trillion dollars, maybe more. So we will probably participate in the recovery, we will help in the recovery," Trump said in an interview with ABC News.
When the TV presenter asked if this would be similar to the Marshall Plan, which provided US aid to European countries after World War II, the American leader answered in the affirmative, but added that Washington would also "get half of its (Iran's) oil."
