On Saturday, the US military struck another vessel used for drug trafficking in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. This was reported by the Pentagon's Southern Command.
"Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was traveling along known drug trafficking routes in the Pacific Ocean and was being used for drug trafficking," the command said in a statement.
Three people were killed as a result of the attack. No US servicemen were injured.
Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegsett reminded about the "Southern Spear" operation, which plans to fight against drugs and was launched in November 2025.
