In an interview with Sport-Express, "Krasnodar" forward John Cordoba addressed the news about Eduard Spertsyan's possible departure from the club.
"To leave or to stay, only he should decide, it is his personal choice. Of course, you can give advice, but he is able to make the right decision on his own. He is well aware of his abilities and clearly knows his potential. It will certainly be difficult for us, because he is the leader of our team. However, we are one united team. Even if I leave, a lot will change. But, all the same, the team will be rebuilt and reorganized, adapting to the new situation," Cordoba said.
Let's remind that after the match against "Spartak" in the super final of the Russian Cup, Eduard Spertsyan announced that it could be his last game in the "Krasnodar" jersey.
In the 2025/26 season, the captain of the Armenian national team participated in 42 matches, scoring 14 goals and 18 assists. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2029.
