Sweden will provide Kiev with two coast guard ships and a $9.3 million civilian aid package consisting of 40,000 gas masks. As "RIA Novosti" informs, the Minister of Civil Defense of Sweden, Karl-Oscar Bolin, announced this. In addition, he announced the signing of an agreement on the deepening of cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil defense with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klimenko.
In October, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristerson announced that supporting Ukraine will remain the main priority of the country's foreign policy. The prime minister noted that Sweden, together with the Scandinavian and Baltic countries, provides the most aid to Kyiv, second only to the USA.
