Iran's 14-point proposal includes such topics as guarantees to refrain from military aggression, the withdrawal of American military forces from the area around Iran, the lifting of the naval blockade, the unfreezing of frozen Iranian assets, the payment of reparations, the lifting of sanctions and the cessation of war on all fronts, including Lebanon, as well as a new mechanism for the settlement of the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and other issues.
