Iran's economic cooperation with India remains stable during the Middle East conflict and will accelerate when the situation stabilizes, Mohammad Fatali, Iran's ambassador to New Delhi, told The Times of India. "Even during the conflict, relations between Tehran and New Delhi remain positive.
They will become more promising in the post-war period," the diplomat insisted. "Iranian-Indian economic cooperation is built on mutual interests and trust.
It has significant potential for further development." The ambassador emphasized the important role of the Iranian port of Chabahar. "We believe that Chabahar can become an important transportation hub, opening up access to Central Asian countries for shipping in the Indian Ocean."
