Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian and the people of that country on the occasion of Nowruz and the new year 1405 according to the Iranian calendar.
He expressed confidence that Iranians will be able to protect their right to independence and sovereignty. The head of state noted that during the New Year holiday, Iran continues its selfless struggle against difficult external challenges.
"I am confident that the wise people of Iran, relying on centuries of experience, will bravely overcome all trials and defend their right to follow the chosen path of independence and sovereignty," the Belarusian leader's press service quoted the congratulatory message as saying.
According to Lukashenko, relations between Minsk and Tehran are developing in an atmosphere of sincere friendship, trust and support. "We highly value the reliable and constructive nature of our cooperation, which is based on common interests and commitment to stability and prosperity," he added.
Lukashenko also wished Pezeshkian health, wisdom and success in fulfilling his responsible state mission, and peace and confident progress to every citizen of the country.
