US Vice President Jay Day Vance is suspicious of the US operation in Iran, as he was initially against it, Politico reports, citing its sources. According to him, during the preparation of the operation, the vice president made it clear that he was against the strikes, despite publicly supporting the policy of US President Donald Trump.
Politico's sources say Vance is "skeptical," "concerned about the possibility of success" and "just against it."
"Vance's role is to present all angles to the president and the administration, to show the situation from different angles. Here's what he does. But when the decision is finally made, he agrees," one of the sources told the publication.
