Three skiers died as a result of an avalanche in the north of Italy, the representative of the Valle d'Aosta rescue service told RIA Novosti.
“The group of three is believed to be from France, two men and one woman. The avalanche occurred near Courmayeur, and helicopters and dog care specialists were sent to the scene," the source of the agency said.
"One person was found dead at the scene, the second died in Aosta, and the third was taken to a hospital in Turin, where his death was also registered," said an official of the mountain rescue service.
