Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan postponed his visit to the UAE scheduled for February 16 due to the illness of the UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"Our President had a telephone conversation with the President of the UAE Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He expressed his regret regarding al-Nahyan's health problems and wished him a speedy recovery. "Erdogan has announced that due to Al Nahyan's illness, he has postponed his visit to the UAE and will visit the UAE at a later, more convenient date, which will be determined," the Turkish leader's office said in a statement.
Erdogan was supposed to arrive in the UAE on February 16 to hold talks with the leaders of the UAE on regional and bilateral topical issues. He will visit Ethiopia on February 17.
