Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi has stated that his country is ready to make compromises to reach a nuclear agreement with the United States if Washington agrees to discuss the lifting of sanctions.

An Iranian official said this in an interview with the BBC.

Takht-Ravanchi noted that "the ball is in the court of the USA" and the American side should show willingness to negotiate.

"We are ready to discuss this and other issues related to our program if they are ready to talk about sanctions," he told the BBC.

He did not specify whether it refers to the abolition of all or some sanctions.

To the journalist's question whether Iran will agree to give up more than 400 kg of enriched uranium reserves, Takht-Ravanchi replied that "it is too early to talk about what might happen during the negotiations."
