After the end of the first round of indirect negotiations, the authorities of Oman conveyed several messages from the United States to the Iranian side. Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, announced this.

"We have not sent any letters to the Americans, but our friends in Oman have conveyed some messages from the United States, which we will discuss in Tehran," he said on Iranian state television after visits to Oman and Qatar.
