The Israel Defense Forces (IDF/TSAHAL) in the Gaza Strip took the life of the commander of the Hamas movement, who participated in operations against the Israeli forces throughout the war, the press service of the army reports.
"In response to the flagrant violation of the cease-fire agreement earlier this week (Monday), the IDF liquidated terrorist Ahmad Hasan, who participated in the planning of numerous terrorist attacks in the Beit Hanun battalion of Hamas, and was recently identified as a participant in the preparation of additional terrorist attacks against IDF soldiers," the press release said.
According to the army's statement, on July 7, 2025, Hassan led the militants who carried out an attack in the Beit Hanun area, as a result of which five Israeli soldiers were killed.
