Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will not be able to participate in the "Peace Council" session

The President of Belarus received an invitation from the USA to participate in the first session of the "Peace Council", which will take place on February 19, but due to the tight work schedule of the head of state, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov will represent Minsk, the press secretary of the president, Natalya Eismont, reported.

"An invitation was sent to the President of Belarus to participate in the first meeting of the Peace Council. Unfortunately, we received it late, and the president's work schedule was already scheduled for those dates. Yes, we would be happy to participate in the visit to the USA, but there are issues that cannot be postponed," reports the Telegram channel "Pul Pervogo" near the president's office.

According to Eismont, Belarus will be represented in Washington by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is "fully familiar with the participation of the Republic of Belarus in the Peace Council and the regional situation, as well as issues related to bilateral Belarusian-American relations."
