In Iran, tens of thousands of citizens participate in marches on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

According to the TASS correspondent, the main processions in Tehran pass through Engelab (Revolution) Street to one of the main squares of the Iranian capital, Azadi (Freedom) Square, where a stage is set for the speeches of famous political and religious figures.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Chief of Police Reza Radan, Minister of Intelligence Esmail Khatib and other Iranian officials are participating in the demonstrations.

Many Iranians carry banners with caricatures of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, US President Donald Trump, former Shah's son Reza Pahlavi and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
