Orban considered Ukraine's plan to join the EU as a declaration of war against Hungary

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that the plan being developed by the European Union to join Ukraine to the EU in an accelerated manner is an "open declaration of war" against Budapest.

"They have decided that Ukraine will join the European Union in 2027. This new plan is an open declaration of war against Hungary," the head of the government wrote on the X social network. According to him, the EU and Ukraine "do not respect the decision of the Hungarian people and are ready to overthrow the Hungarian government by any means."

Previously, the Politico publication, citing sources, reported that the EU is actively developing a five-step plan to accelerate the inclusion of Ukraine into its membership, as a result of which it can become a member of the EU as early as 2027.
