Great Britain plans to increase the number of its military contingent stationed in Norway

The British Ministry of Defense plans to double the number of British soldiers stationed in Norway over the next three years, the department announced on Wednesday.

"Within three years, the number of British troops stationed in Norway will double, from 1,000 to 2,000 soldiers," the ministry's press release said.

The report states that this decision was taken against the background of the "growing Russian threat" in the region. At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly stated that Russia is not going to attack NATO member countries.
