Australia will resume free trade talks with the EU

Australia will resume negotiations on concluding a free trade agreement with the European Union. This was announced by the Minister of Trade, Don Farrell. In the press service of the ministry, it is noted that the new round of trade negotiations between Australia and the EU will begin this week.

"In Brussels, I will meet with the European Commissioner for Trade Policy and Economic Security, Maroš Šefčovič, and the EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, Christoph Hansen, to discuss a mutually beneficial trade agreement.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's government is committed to opening up new markets for our exporters, creating more jobs in our economy and reducing costs for Australians," Farrell said.

He emphasized that the market of EU countries "will open huge opportunities for Australian producers, enterprises and exporters".
