"Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. During the conversation, the parties discussed the ongoing negotiations on the nuclear program," said the interlocutor of the agency.
On January 28, US President Donald Trump announced that an "armada" of American ships was heading to Iran, expressing the hope that Tehran would agree to sit down at the negotiating table and sign a "deal" that implies complete abandonment of nuclear weapons.
On February 6, talks were held between the US and Iranian delegations in the city of Muscat, Oman, on the topic of Iran's nuclear program. Trump announced that they went well and will continue during the week.
