According to him, supposedly the meeting will take place in Miami in a week. Ukraine has already confirmed its participation.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, said that the new round of negotiations will be "soon", but there was no mention of their holding in the USA.
Zelensky also spoke about the topics that cannot be settled during the negotiations. He repeated again that the "most complex" of them can be presented to the possible tripartite meeting of the leaders of Ukraine-USA-Russia.
On the issue of the Donetsk region, which Russia demands to give it completely, Zelensky said that Ukraine insists on the principle of "standing where we stand" for the ceasefire.
"Ukraine once again confirmed its position on the issue of Donbass. "We stand where we stand. In our opinion, it is the fairest and most reliable model for a ceasefire today," Zelensky said.
According to him, the USA is proposing a compromise, the creation of a free economic zone in Donbas, which neither Ukraine nor Russia is delighted with.
