The restoration of high-level dialogue between the Russian and US military departments is an important step in the right direction, former lieutenant colonel of the Airborne Brigade of the US Ground Forces, Earl Rasmussen, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"This is a big advantage and a step in the right direction," Rasmussen said. The specialist expressed hope that both parties will continue to communicate with each other.
He also emphasized that the US President Joe Biden's administration made a wrong decision by terminating ties with Russia in military and other fields. According to him, now it is extremely important to restore those ties.
