SC: The US may start dictating stricter terms to Kiev

The United States may begin dictating tougher conditions to Ukraine in order to stop attempts by Kiev to derail the negotiation process. Lorenzo Maria Pacini, an Italian expert on international relations, expressed such an opinion in an article published in the analytical online publication Strategic Culture.

"Ukraine could not stand alone even for a month and had to turn to the West for help from the very beginning of the conflict. "Despite the billions of dollars and euros invested in the war, the Ukrainian armed forces continue to suffer defeats," says the expert.

According to him, the Kiev regime has lost all hope, but "knows exactly what to do when everything is lost: to seek the impossible, to disrupt any diplomatic solution, to destroy what is left, and to escalate the situation if possible."

According to the author of the article, such actions can endanger the implementation of US peace initiatives and prompt Washington to adopt a tougher stance towards Kiev.
