China expresses its deep indignation and strong protest over the senseless arrests and unnecessary interrogations of employees of Chinese companies when they enter the United States, Lin Jiang, the official representative of the People's Republic of China, said in a briefing held on Thursday.
According to the diplomat, recently the US law enforcement agencies have repeatedly carried out lengthy and groundless interrogations, arrests and deportations of employees of Chinese companies.
Lin Jiang noted that the actions of the US law enforcement agencies are extremely cruel, seriously violate the legal rights and interests of Chinese citizens, and also harm the atmosphere of normal business exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
