The Czech Republic has announced that it can no longer finance the supply of ammunition to Ukraine

The Czech Republic is no longer able to invest in the initiative to supply ammunition to the armed forces of Ukraine, Czech Foreign Minister Petr Matsinka said.

"In case of any restrictions that exist for Prague's budget, the initiative to supply ammunition continues to work," the European publication Politico reports, quoting the minister's words. He noted that the Czech Republic "doesn't have the ability to allocate any funds to it".

Before this, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis, who leads the ANO ("Action of Citizens of Influence") political movement that won the recent parliamentary elections, promised his voters to cancel the "munitions initiative". Later, he revised this approach and advocated the preservation of the project, but without the republic's financial participation.
