As a result of the heavy snow storm in the USA, the number of people killed has increased, reaching at least 51, NBC TV channel reports.
Earlier, the Associated Press agency informed about 42 victims as a result of adverse weather conditions in the USA.
"Millions of residents from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast have been warned of extreme cold temperatures as communities in the eastern third of the United States recover from a powerful winter storm that killed at least 51 people," the report said.
According to the Poweroutage website, about 400,000 homes were left without power supply in the US as a result of the blizzard.
