The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group has entered the US Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility in the Indian Ocean. This was announced by an American official in an interview with the Fox News channel.
"The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier entered CENTCOM waters in the Indian Ocean against the backdrop of growing threats from Iran," the source said.
Washington is strengthening its military presence in the region not only at sea, but also in the air and on land. A squadron of F-15 fighter jets, as well as C-17 military transport planes, have already been moved to the region.
