As part of the criminal proceedings being examined by the Anti-Corruption Committee, four of the five persons arrested yesterday, including three SRC officials, were submitted to the court to apply detention as a preventive measure, all of which were granted. The information was confirmed by the Anti-Corruption Committee in a conversation with the media.
Yesterday we informed that 5 persons were arrested, among them the officials holding the leading positions of the RA State Revenue Committee. The State Revenue Committee informed that the criminal proceedings against the persons arrested for smuggling mobile phones into Armenia were initiated by the State Revenue Committee based on the information provided to the RA Anti-Corruption Committee.
Earlier, SRC announced that an official investigation was opened in the State Revenue Committee regarding the smuggling of mobile phones to Armenia.
