US President Donald Trump has announced that Iran will face serious consequences if it attacks American targets in the Middle East.
"If they do that, we will hit them like they have never hit before. I have very strong options," NBC News quoted him as saying. "If they do that, they will face a very strong force."
On December 11, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced that Tehran will strike Israel and American military targets in the Middle East if the United States is attacked.
Earlier, the American leader announced that the United States is ready to "come to the aid" of people involved in the unrest in Iran.
