The Mother See is currently discussing the hot events that took place last night. As it is known, yesterday around 16 priests joined Nikol Pashinyan's anti-church campaign, or, as he calls it, the "Church Reform Program", at the urging or coercion of the diocesan leaders, who were declared tyrannical by the society.
Moreover, all the priests who joined the campaign against the church had copied and published on their Facebook page the text with the same content, probably given to them from above, with which they express their loyalty to Pashinyan's plan. Along with this, more than a dozen priests expressed their filial support and loyalty to the Catholicos.
Euromedia24tried to get a comment on the situation from the Mother See to find out their position and what steps they are going to take. The Mother See informed that discussions are going on at the moment and they will issue a statement soon. It is also not excluded that a meeting will be convened in the Mother See in order to clarify the sequence of steps.
