US President Donald Trump stated that one of the objectives of the operation carried out by US military forces in Venezuela is to lower global oil prices. "That means lower oil prices around the world, which is great for everyone.
That means lower oil prices for America, which I lowered," he said in an interview with Fox News.
The head of state noted that now large oil companies will come to Venezuela.
"They will earn a lot of money, and part of that money will go to Venezuela, and part to us. And we have brought stability to the region. We have brought stability and significantly reduced oil prices. At the moment, gasoline costs $1.99 per gallon in most cases," the head of the White House said.
