Turkey can assume full control of Black Sea security

A summit of the "Coalition of Volunteers" dedicated to the security guarantees to be provided to Ukraine after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war was held in the capital of France, Paris, in which representatives of a number of states, including Turkey, participated. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced during the summit that the security of the Black Sea can be completely taken over by Turkey.

According to him, the armed forces of Turkey are ready to take responsibility for all maritime security mechanisms to be established after the establishment of peace. Fidan also emphasized that the country with the largest fleet in the Black Sea within NATO is Turkey, which makes this role natural. French President Emmanuel Macron also confirmed Turkey's readiness, highlighting its participation in the process of ensuring regional security.

It is noted that the representatives of the European states and the USA managed to reach a clear agreement on the safety guarantees to be implemented after a possible ceasefire with Russia. According to the plan announced by Macron, the US will control the ceasefire monitoring mechanism.

Great Britain and France have also signed a declaration of intent to establish military centers in Ukraine and provide military information in the event of a peace agreement.

In this context, the US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff expressed confidence that the ongoing war in Ukraine will end and that is why the discussions have already been largely concluded.
