Iran's law enforcement agencies have arrested a person suspected of killing Ikramuddin Sari, a high-ranking officer of the Ministry of Interior of Afghanistan.
He was killed by an unknown gunman along with his friend in one of the crowded streets of Tehran, the Afghanistan International portal reports, referring to the statement of Fada Hossein Maleki, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament.
"The suspect in the murder of General Ikramuddin Sari was arrested in the capital of Iran. Iran will not allow Afghanistan's security problems to spread to Tehran or Mashhad," the portal quotes the words of the head of the legislative body.
