Taiwan is searching for an F-16 pilot who disappeared from the island's air force radar

Taiwan's armed forces are searching for an Air Force F-16V fighter pilot who disappeared off the coast of Hualan County. According to the Focus Taiwan news site, the plane was separated from the fighter group during a training flight at night.

On the morning of January 7, according to information released by the ROU, the pilot of the missing plane, Captain Sin, managed to signal his intention to eject before the plane disappeared from radar screens, but they could not confirm whether he managed to abandon the plane.

"We have not yet received any signal from the rescue equipment signal, so we still have no conclusive evidence to confirm whether Captain Sin successfully ejected the plane," the portal quoted the ROC representative as saying.

The island's Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard are involved in the search. Civilian ships in the area were also informed about the incident.
