US President Donald Trump announced that almost all electricity was cut off in Venezuela, including Caracas, during the US strikes.
"Almost the entire country was without electricity. That's when they realized there was a problem. There was no electricity.
There was no electricity in Caracas either," Trump said during a meeting with members of Congress. On January 3, the United States launched a full-scale attack on Venezuela, capturing President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, and transporting them to New York.
US President Donald Trump announced that Maduro and Flores will be tried on charges of participating in "narco-terrorism" and posing a threat to the United States.
