"During our phone conversation with Trump, I emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in Venezuela," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
Erdogan emphasized that he does not support any action that violates political legitimacy or international law.
"In the matter of Venezuela, we seek to act in the way that is best and most convenient for both Turkey and the friendly Venezuelan people."
The President of Turkey noted that gross violations of countries' sovereign rights and international law can have serious global consequences.
"There will be no stability in a world where force prevails over law. crises and conflicts will never end. We, as Turkey, do not want chaos, unrest or tension in our region or elsewhere."
Erdogan added that during his phone conversation with US President Donald Trump, he raised issues that are particularly sensitive for Turkey's foreign policy, stressing the importance of maintaining stability in Venezuela.
